The Scout Association
The Scout Association is a Scout Association in the UK and a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement . The Scout Association was founded under the name The Boy Scout Association in 1910 and received its current name in 1967.
Today the Scout Association is one of the largest youth associations in the UK. In 2012, 400,000 young people between the ages of 6 and 25 belonged to them. 60,000 of them are girls and young women. The English scout movement works with adult volunteers who support the local groups in carrying out their activities.
On July 11, 2009, the adventurer Bear Grylls became chief scout .
