The Tights (English "the tights" ) were a British punk rock band from Malvern in Worcestershire . It was founded in 1977. During the short period of its existence, the group recorded two successful singles, which were played by John Peel on his radio show, among others . In 1979 the band , which was signed to Cherry Red Records as the " house band ", broke up . The band got back together in 2005 and played a few gigs. New songs are available.
