The Valley is the capital and one of the 14 districts of the British overseas territory Anguilla . It has 1298 inhabitants including Upper Valley (as of 2011) .

Because Anguilla was first administered from Antigua and later from St. Kitts , The Valley has only a few colonial- style buildings. Architecturally outstanding is the Wallblake House , which was built in 1787. The city also has the Loblolly Gallery , an art gallery , and a museum with the Anguilla National Trust Museum.

Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport is close to the city .
