Theater Academy Saxony

The academy was founded in Delitzsch in 2007. The seat of the academy is the former building of the former upper train station Delitzsch . The building, designed in the typical Wilhelminian style, was completely restored from January to July 2007 for around 1.2 million euros. The course was started on March 28, 2008 at the beginning of the winter semester .

The academy building has over 1,400 square meters, among other things, three theater rehearsal stages, speaking, singing and seminar rooms, two dance halls, an auditorium for auditions and performances, props and costume stocks and a small specialist library,

Since 2012, the Theater Academy has been the only trainer for musical performers in the new federal states alongside the theater schools in Berlin . In March 2013, the name of the former Academy of Performing Arts Delitzsch was renamed to Theater Academy Saxony .
