Theo Bücker (born July 10, 1948 in Bestwig ) is a former German soccer player and current coach .

Bücker began his professional career in 1969 at Borussia Dortmund and was relegated from the Bundesliga in 1972 . After a year in the regional league, he moved to MSV Duisburg , for whom he played in the Bundesliga for five years. After three years with Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia , Bücker returned to Germany and was promoted to the Bundesliga with FC Schalke 04 . After relegation a year later, his active career ended.

Bücker has lived in the Middle East since the mid-1980s . He has worked as a trainer in Kuwait , Egypt , the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon . As coach of Ismaily SC , he reached the finals of the CAF Champions League against FC Enyimba from Nigeria in 2003 with the Egyptian club . In 2010 he coached the Egyptian team Masry Port Said . Since July 26, 2011 he was the coach of the Lebanese first division club Al Ahed . On August 3, 2011 he also took over the coaching position of the Lebanese national team after 2001 . For the first time in Lebanon's history a coach managed to lead the selection to the final qualifying round of a World Cup. On May 26, 2013, he submitted with goalkeeping coach Christian Schweichler and his assistant coach, the Dutchman Peter Meindertsma, his resignation to the Fédération Libanaise de Football Association .

After resigning in Lebanon, Bücker took on a new role in Saudi Arabia, where he trains the Al-Ettifaq team. In addition to his coaching position, Bücker is also the director of a private soccer academy.
