Theodor Gartner
Theodor Gartner (born November 4, 1843 in Vienna , † April 29, 1925 in Innsbruck ) was a Romance philologist and expert on Romansh .
Theodor Gartner worked as a middle school teacher for chemistry and physics from 1868 to 1885. In 1885 he became professor of Romance philology at the University of Chernivtsi . From 1899 to 1913 he held the newly established chair for Romance Philology at the University of Innsbruck .
In 1897 he became an honorary member of the Arminia Czernowitz fraternity .
