Theodore Holland

Theodore Holland (born April 25, 1878 in Wimbledon (London) , † October 29, 1947 in London ) was an English composer and music teacher.

Holland attended Westminster School and studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Frederick Corder and at the Musikhochschule Berlin with Joseph Joachim . He then worked as a composer for various theaters before becoming professor of harmony and composition at the Royal Academy in 1927.

In addition to operas and theatrical music, Holland composed a sinfonietta, a symphonic poem, a violin concerto, chamber music works and songs.
