Thomas Hieke

Thomas Hieke (born March 13, 1968 in Pegnitz ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Hieke studied Roman Catholic theology at the University of Bamberg (1987–1992) and at the University of Innsbruck (1989–1990). In 1996 he received his doctorate under Hubert Irsigler at the University of Bamberg. In 2003 he received his habilitation under Christoph Dohmen at the University of Regensburg . Hieke has been Professor of the Old Testament at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Mainz since 2007 .

He is married and has four kids.
