Tijana Dapčević ( Serbian - Cyrillic Тијана Дапчевић , Macedonian Тијана Дапчевиќ ; born Todevska (Тодевска), artist: Tijana ( Тијана ); * 3. February 1976 in Skopje , Yugoslavia ) is a in Serbia active Macedonian pop singer .

Career and life

Her younger sister Tamara is also a pop singer. Tijana is married.

Dapčević serves the entire Western Balkan market by incorporating jugo-nostalgic elements into her music. One of her hits is Sve je isto, samo njega nema - “Everything is the same as before, only he is no longer here”, where “he” refers to Tito - sung in the various varieties of Serbo-Croatian as well as Slovenian and Macedonian . With this title she won the 2005 Budva Music Festival .

In 2002 she won the Sunčane Skale Festival with the song Negativ , the title track of her debut album. In 2006 she reached the eighth place with the title Greh ("Sin") in the national preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest in Serbia and Montenegro .

Eurovision Song Contest 2014

Tijana Dapčević was selected internally by the Macedonian broadcaster MKRTV to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen with the song To The Sky . She entered there in the second semifinals on May 8, but she could not qualify for the final, as she only reached the 13th of 15 places.
