Tim Scott (sculptor)

Tim Scott (born April 18, 1937 in Richmond upon Thames ) is an English sculptor.

Life

Tim Scott studied architecture and sculpture at St. Martins School of Art . He was inspired by David Smith and began working with materials such as acrylic, fiberglass, glass and metal. His works are in many important collections, such as B. the Tate Gallery , London, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston , the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum Duisburg and the Edmonton Art Gallery , Alberta. From 1993 to 2002 he was professor of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg , and he also held various visiting professorships. Alongside Henry Moore , Antony Caro , Tony Cragg and David Nash , Tim Scott is one of the most important British sculptors.
