Timo Salonen (born October 8, 1951 in Helsinki ) is a former Finnish rally driver . In 1985 Timo Salonen was world rally champion in a Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 with his co-driver Seppo Harjanne . After the World Rally Championship in 1992 he ended his career, but he made a limited comeback at the 2002 Rally Finland and drove a Peugeot 206 WRC to 14th place overall. The wearing glasses and heavy smokers was because of his plump stature and his "cool" posturing (u. A. Driving his rally car with one hand) will be happy with the Finnish nickname "Löysä" considered what about with "the Loose" but also with "the Negligent » Can be translated.
