Tina De Mola (actually Ernesta De Mola ; born October 28, 1923 in Milan , † April 18, 2012 in Rome ) was an Italian actress and singer .

Life

De Mola, the daughter of a hairdresser, turned to a career as an opera singer after finishing school. After winning a young talent competition, she got the first opportunity to perform in the special Italian form of musical theater, the Avanspettacoli , in her native city. She recorded a few records with Alberto Semprini and was seen in the 1942/43 revue Una stella e un cuore with Renato Rascel , with whom she not only remained artistically connected, but was married until 1963. Also with Rascel De Molas debut took place in the cinema: Pazzo d'amore by Giacomo Gentilomo remained but for seven years her only film. Between 1949 and 1959 there were a few screen appearances, but they only met average demands and were not particularly successful. On stage it became one of the celebrated soubrettes of the war and the first post-war years.

In 1946 De Mola won the title of "Miss Sorriso d'Italia" ex aequo with Anna Vignali . Together with her husband, she appeared in other evuen, including Quanto è possibile , Viva Fradiavolo and Il cielo è tornato . This was followed by stage works with Erminio Macario ( Oklabama ), Ugo Tognazzi ( Quel treno si chiama desiderio , 1950) and Mario Carotenuto ( Stop… mi uccido every 20.90 , 1951). With Carnival in Venice she toured Mexico, Cuba, Colombia and Venezuela.

Back in her home country, she was back on stage next to her husband in the highly acclaimed musical comedy Alvaro piuttosto corsaro (which was also made into a film with them shortly afterwards), then in Il terrore corre sul filo . With a few television engagements, again alongside Rascel, such as Lui, lei e gli altri or Stasera a Rascel City (1958), she let the active part of her career end. A few public appearances followed. In 1971 De Mola married Armando Simoncini for the second time.
