Tomislav Kocijan (born November 21, 1967 in Varaždin ) is a former Austrian national soccer player of Croatian origin and current soccer coach .

Career

Kocijan started his career at NK Varteks in Croatia. His first stop in Austria was the Favoritner AC in Vienna. Via SK Vorwärts Steyr in Upper Austria , he moved on to SV Austria Salzburg , where he was two-time Austrian champion . His next club was SK Sturm Graz where he was also champion and was part of the successful Champions League eleven of Graz. His last professional club was LASK Linz . After the year in Linz he went to TuS Arnfels in the Styrian regional league . After the club was dissolved, he played in the Middle Regional League at SK St. Andrä in Lavanttal . In January 2006 he moved to the later championship of the Oberliga Mitte West Deutschlandsberger SC . In spring 2007 he played 1st class Mur / Mürz B at ESV St. Michael. From May 2007 to summer 2009 he was coach of the traditional South Styrian club SVL Flavia Solva .

National team

Tomislav Kocijan completed four international matches for the Austrian national soccer team and scored one goal. It was on his debut on September 1, 2000 in Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium in a 5-1 friendly match against the Iranian national team , where he scored the goal to make it 2-1 in the 44th minute of the game (source: website “Fußball in Austria ", international matches 2000/01).

Trainer

On June 1, 2007, he began his coaching career at SV Leibnitz Flavia Solva , initially as a player coach ; on June 30, 2009, he left the club. After just one and a half months at his home club NK Varaždin (August 30 - October 15, 2011), there were other short-term engagements at SV Allerheiligen in Styria (September 25 - December 4, 2013) and at SV Güssing in Burgenland ( July 1 - November 30, 2014) (source: "transfermarkt.at").
