Tree Register of the British Isles (also for short: The Tree Register , TROBI or TROBI ) is a non-profit organization founded in 1988 with headquarters in Wootton (County Bedfordshire in England ), which has set up a computer database (Tree Register) and maintains notable trees in the UK and Ireland . The database currently consists of more than 150,000 trees with the most important details about them.

The patron of the association is Prince Charles .

The computer database was developed based on the handwritten records of the late dendrologist , biologist , forester and specialist author Alan F. Mitchell (November 4, 1922 - August 3, 1995) and also based on older data from about 200 years ago, e.g. B. from reference works , built.

The Tree Register was one of the founders of the Ancient Tree Hunt campaign and a founding member of the European Champion Tree Forum.
