Trevor Greenwood

Trevor Greenwood (* 20th century) is an American film director , film editor and film producer who won an Oscar in 1968 for the short documentary film The Redwoods .

biography

Greenwood, who at the University of California, Los Angeles studied (UCLA), turned even during his studies in 1964, the documentary - short films HJ Maxwell, Engineer along an old railway engineer, who looks back on his life, and Felicia ; the latter together with Bob Dickson and Alan Gorg. Felicia , who conveys impressions from the life of a young black girl in Los Angeles, received the rating "Particularly valuable".

The short documentary film The Redwoods , which was produced as part of a campaign for the Sierra Club to support the establishment of a national park to protect the sequoia trees (Redwoods), was made in 1967. The film won an Oscar in the category “Best Documentary Short Film “ Excellent.
