Tricia Stumpf (* 1970 ) is an American skeleton pilot .

Before Tricia Stumpf switched to skeleton, she did alpine skiing. She had her breakthrough in skeleton in the 1999/2000 season. In Calgary she made her debut in the World Cup and came in eighth. Her best result was a second place in 2000 in La Plagne . 2000/01 was her best season, she finished fourth in the overall World Cup. In Igls 2000 and Calgary 2001 she won the bronze medal at world championships. At US championships Stumpf won the title in 2000 and 2001 and silver behind Juleigh Walker in 1999 .

After Skeleton was included in the official program for the 2002 Winter Olympics , Stumpf quit her full-time job as a marketing clerk in Park City . But she could not qualify and Tristan Gale and Lea Ann Parsley started for the United States and won gold and silver.

Stumpf is married to the US biathlete Joan Guetschow .
