The Triebwerk was a well-known techno club in Dresden from 2002 to 2013.

Mainly the genres Techno , Minimal Techno , Speedcore and Psytrance were played in the Triebwerk . The DJs and live acts that played in the Triebwerk include DJ Rush , Blake Baxter , Juan Atkins , DJ Godfather , Chris Liebing , Dave Clarke , Hardy Hard and Vitalic .

The club was opened in May 2002 in a former railway workers' cultural center in Plauenschen Grund in the south of Dresden. It was located on the so-called rock cellar area of Dresden. The engine was designed for up to 1000 guests. In addition to a main floor for around 800 guests, there were four other floors, and in the summer months there was often an open-air floor. The engine became known in autumn 2002 when, after the Elbe flood in 2002, a benefit event was held there under the name Musiketzt Welten , which lasted three days and was played by over 120 DJs.

The engine had to shut down in October 2013 because the high heating and electricity costs could no longer be covered. The club's official closing party took place on October 30, 2013, headlining DJ Hell . Since then, private events have been held there, as the location can be rented for birthdays or the like.
