Trina Arlene Barton Hosmer (born March 28, 1948 in Watertown , New York ) is a former American cross-country skier .

Barton took part in the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo , Japan. In the ten kilometer competition she was able to achieve 41st place. Due to her physical fitness, she was also successful in athletics over 1500 meters at the national level. Today she competes in cross-country skiing in Masters competitions .

Barton studied at the University of Vermont , graduating from the University of Vermont in 1966 and getting her Masters degree in 1968. She later worked at the University of Massachusetts and as a cross-country ski instructor.
