The Type 052C (after the lead ship also Lanzhou class or after NATO reporting name as Luyang-II class called) is a class of six guided missile destroyers of the Navy of the People's Republic of China .

General

The Type 052C is a further development of the previous Type 052B (Luyang-I-Class) and partly replaced the destroyers of the Type 051 (Luda-Class) in service.

Hull and drive

The hull of a Type 052C destroyer is 155.5 meters long, 17.2 meters wide and has a draft of 6.1 meters with a maximum displacement of 7,000 tons . It is driven by two gas turbines and two marine diesel engines ( CODOG drive ). The power is delivered to two shafts with one screw each . The top speed is 32 knots (59 km / h ).
