UNESCO-IHE

The UNESCO-IHE (Institute for Hydrological Education) is a UNESCO institute that organizes education and training on all topics related to water and water supply worldwide . It is based in Delft, the Netherlands .

The institute was officially founded on the occasion of the 31st General Assembly of UNESCO on November 5, 2001 and began its activities in 2003. It employs 166 permanent employees and more than 350 freelance lecturers. So far (2008) around 15,000 people have completed training at the IHE. The globally recognized degrees range from postgraduate certificates to obtaining a doctoral degree (in cooperation with various universities).
