UNITED for Intercultural Action

UNITED for Intercultural Action is a pan-European network against nationalism , racism , fascism and for the support of immigrants and refugees . Over 560 organizations in 49 European countries are organized in the network. According to its own statements, the Amsterdam organization has been independent of all political parties, organizations and states since it was founded in 1992.

The European address book against racism is published annually by the association. The address book lists European organizations that actively fight against racism , fascism , nationalism or support immigrants and refugees. Furthermore, more than 2200 organizations and over 130 sponsor associations are listed. The searchable online edition contains over 4000 entries.

In the calendar of internationalism , the association publishes information about important events, seminars, training courses, conferences, exhibitions, festivals, etc., which are thematically located in the field of anti-racism , anti-nationalism , anti-fascism , support for immigrants , refugees and human rights . The online edition is updated weekly. A print edition will be sent to 2,500 contacts across Europe.

UNITED for Intercultural Action has been documenting the deaths of people on the move since 1993. On this basis, the book Cause of Death: Flucht. An incomplete list published, edited by Kristina Milz and Anja Tuckermann.

As part of the peace service, civilian service workers from the Austrian foreign service and from the Action Reconciliation Peace Services work with United.
