Ulrich Vieluf

Ulrich Vieluf (born December 20, 1955 in Meldorf ) is a German political official . From 2008 to 2010 he was State Councilor in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Norderstedt in 1975, Vieluf studied teaching and psychology from 1976 to 1985 at the University of Hamburg. After completing his legal clerkship in Hamburg (1986–1987), he first worked as a social worker in Harburg's Phoenix district. From 1988 to 1990 he worked as an editor.

In 1990 he joined the Hamburg administration as a consultant in the authority for schools, youth and vocational training (BSJB). From 1991 he was head of the BSJB's public relations department, and from 1996 to 2000 he headed the office of school senator Rosemarie Raab . Afterwards he was head of the sub-department “Promotion of special school groups, education reporting” in the BSJB / Authority for Education and Sport until 2002. From 2002 until his appointment to the State Council in 2008, Vieluf, who is a member of the Greens , was Head of the Quality Development and Standard Assurance Department at the State Institute for Teacher Education and School Development . When the black-green Senate took office in May 2008, he became State Councilor for the School and Vocational Training Authority , which was led by Christa Goetsch as Senator. After the coalition broke up, he was given temporary retirement on November 29, 2010.

Ulrich Vieluf is married and has four daughters.
