It is the eighth adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel of the same name to date. In the United Kingdom, the drama screened on three consecutive evenings on the main public broadcaster BBC One from December 26-28, 2015 . The German-language synchronized version was first published on January 1, 2019 on the TVNOW video portal .

The story takes place in 1939 on an island on the Devon coast .

Ten people are greeted by “Mr. and Mrs. Owen ”to a mansion on Soldier Island. However, there is no trace of the hosts in the house or on the island. They are looked after by the recently hired servants Thomas and Ethel Rogers. At their first dinner together, Thomas puts on a record on which each one of them is accused of having committed a murder. When the first person dies, everyone still believes in suicide. In the second murder, however, they must realize that the murderer is among them.

The miniseries is an adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel And Then There Was No More . Sarah Phelps wrote the script for the series and Craig Viveiros directed it. The drama series was criticized, among other things, for showing the use of drugs , brutality and the use of swear words . However, screenwriter Sarah Phelps insists that she stayed close to the book. The series aired on BBC One from December 26-28, 2015 . In Germany, the series was first published on TVNOW in 2019 .
