Unterschüpf is a district of Boxberg in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

Unterschüpf lies at 215 m above sea level. NHN in the Mündungsaue the Schüpfbaches as the left tributary of the Umpfer . The village of Unterschüpf ( ) and the residential area Talhof ( ) belong to the former community of Unterschüpf .

On July 1, 1971, Unterschüpf was incorporated into the city of Boxberg.

About half of the residents of Unterschüpf are Catholic. In addition to the Catholic Church of St. Kilian, there is a Protestant church in town.

Together with Oberschüpf and Lengenrieden, Unterschüpf forms the Protestant parish of Schüpfer Grund . Almost a third of the residents of Unterschüpf belong to the Protestant parish.

Unterschüpf Castle

A moated castle from the 17th century is located in Unterschüpf . In addition, the place has a Protestant church from the 13th century, a so-called Winkelkirche with frescoes from the 15th century.

Westfeld's house

The "Westfeld'sche Haus" (Römerstrasse 36) should also be mentioned. The two-story house was built in 1754 as a massive, stately building with a mansard roof. In 1926 it was converted into a “toddler school”. In 1985 the house came into private ownership, the new owners stopped the further deterioration of the building fabric.

Recreation

A Kneipp facility has been located at the end of the village in the direction of the B 292 in Umpfertal since 2015 .

The Schüpfbachtalradweg and the Umpfertalradweg cross in Unterschüpf . The place is next to the Liebliches Taubertal cycle path - the sporty one .

The largest club in Unterschüpf is TSV Unterschüpf 02. This club has around 560 active and passive members. In addition to the leisure department and the triathlon department founded in 2010, there is also the football department of TSV Unterschüpf 02, which was promoted to district class A in the 2003/2004 season and to the district league in the 2004/2005 season and thus its greatest successes in these years has experienced over 100 years of club history.
