Verónica Forqué Vázquez-Vigo (born December 1, 1955 in Madrid ; † December 13, 2021 there ) was a Spanish actress .

Life

Verónica Forqué was born in Madrid in 1955 as the daughter of the director José María Forqué and the actress Carmen Vázquez Vigo . Her brother is the director Álvaro Forqué . She made her debut at the age of 17 in Jaime de Armiñán's Mi querida señorita . They each received twice the Goya as best actress for Kika ( 1994 ) and La Vida alegre ( 1988 ) and as Best Supporting Actress for El año de las luces ( 1987 ) and Moros y Cristianos (1988).

In 2014 Forqué separated from the director Manuel Iborra , with whom she had been married since 1981 and from whose marriage their daughter comes.

On December 13, 2021, Verónica Forqué was found hanged in her apartment. According to initial investigations, she has committed suicide. Several suicide attempts had preceded it.
