The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Association League is the top-class football league in the territory of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Football Association . As an association league , it forms one of the sixth highest divisions in the German league system . Your master rises directly to the Oberliga Nordost .

The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Association League was founded at the beginning of the 1991/92 season as the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State League . Since 1995/96 it has been called the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Association League, while the Landesliga subsequently only served as the substructure of the Association League. Since the beginning of the 2009/10 season, three regional league seasons have been played below the association league , which are divided into the areas north, west and east. Since 2017/18, the league system in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has been changed due to the falling number of clubs and the state league will then only be represented in two seasons.

Due to the corona pandemic, the 2019/2020 season was declared prematurely ended after the suspension of game operations on March 13, 2020 with the decision of the extended LFV board of May 7, 2020. The official final scoring using the quotient rule is based on the additional decision made on the season's scoring on May 26, 2020. There will therefore be no champions, only relay winners.
