liquefaction
Liquefaction is the transfer of a substance in the liquid state of aggregation . This can be done through two processes:
- Starting from a solid by melting
- Starting from a gas through condensation or pressure increase (pressure liquefaction)
- z. B. Air liquefaction
The properties of a material change during the phase transition from the solid or gaseous to the liquid phase.
