The transport association Warnow (VVW) is a transport association of public-transport ( public transport ) in the Hanseatic city of Rostock and in the district of Rostock , a uniform surface tariff system for public transport of the participating through on May 24, 1998 transport companies was introduced.

Data

Over 60 million passengers are carried annually. The line network covers over 4000 kilometers and there are over 1000 stops that are served by over 200 buses , 53  trams , 35 railroad trains and three ferries .

Operating data

history

Around 1970 a joint monthly ticket offer for the combined use of the various means of transport (tram and city bus as well as the S-Bahn of the Deutsche Reichsbahn ) within Rostock was formed. After the reunification , a collective bargaining community was formed. The VVW was founded on May 24, 1998.

Tariff system

The regional zones 7-18 are set up in a ring around the Rostock tariff zone. In addition to the Rostock zone, there is a tariff zone for the city of Güstrow (zone 13). Each zone traveled only has to be calculated once.

The Bäderbahn Molli only accepts season tickets (weekly and monthly tickets) from VVW on its Bad Doberan - Heiligendamm - Kühlungsborn West route . However, the possible regulations for transferring or taking other people with you are excluded.

The Mecklenburg-Vorpommersche Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVVG), itself not a member of the Warnow transport association, recognizes the VVW's weekly and monthly tickets on its 304 line to Rostock in the network area.
