Veronika Rücker (born June 1, 1970 in Nordhorn ) is a German sports official. She is chairwoman of the board of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB).

Career

From 2000 to 2008, Veronika Rücker was a research assistant at the Institute for Sport Economics and Sport Management at the German Sport University Cologne .

From 2007 to 2017 she worked for the DOSB Management Academy in Cologne; initially as a scientific consultant, from 2012 as head of further education and from 2015 as director.

In 2018 she was appointed CEO of the DOSB as the successor to Michael Vesper . At the same time she is also a member of the board of trustees of the Sepp Herberger Foundation , chairwoman of the management academy of the DOSB and a member of the supervisory board of NADA .

In 2019 she was awarded the newly introduced DTB Award from the German Tennis Association .
