Veronika Winter (born February 2, 1965 in Limburg an der Lahn ) is a German soprano .

Life

Veronika Winter received her first vocal training in the Limburg Cathedral Choir . After studying musicology and Italian at the University of Erlangen and singing with Norma Lerer in Nuremberg , she received her extensive vocal training in 1989 at the Hochschule für Musik Heidelberg / Mannheim with Eva-Maria Molnar . Further studies took her to Karlheinz Jarius in 1991 and then to Barbara Schlick .

Veronika Winter's primary interest is the interpretation of early music . In this field she works with ensembles such as the Rheinische Kantorei , Musica Fiata Köln , the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin , the Kammerchor Stuttgart , Weserrenaissance Bremen , the Collegium Vocale Gent and conductors such as Hermann Max , Frieder Bernius , Hans-Christoph Rademann , Ludger Rémy and Philipp Herreweghe together. She is also a member of the Himlische Cantorey ensemble in Hamburg.

In addition to the music of the 17th and 18th centuries, compositions from the classical and romantic periods are increasingly enriching her repertoire. Veronika Winter is also repeatedly engaged for concerts with contemporary music.
