VfK Bau Rostock

The VfK "construction" Rostock 94 eV is a German Judo Association of Rostock in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with around 100 members. The VfK (Association for Physical Fitness) "Bau" Rostock was founded on April 15, 1994.

By 1999, VfK athletes were able to enter the lists of German and international championships seven times as winners. They stood on the podium twelve times at national championships. Of the eight medals that Mecklenburg judoka won at the German championships in 1999, four went to athletes from the club. There are also some North German and state championship titles. In 1999 three federal and 19 regional cadres were members of the VfK.

Nowadays the club mainly focuses on the youngsters. In 2009 there were successes in national sighting tournaments (1st place, 5th place), Northeast German championships (3rd place, 5th place, 7th place) and a 9th place at the German championships.

Groups and trainers

In VfK "Bau" Rostock, three judo groups train according to age and progress, as well as a leisure group for volleyball . The members are supervised and promoted by a total of ten licensed trainers plus some young trainers who gain experience in dealing with children and training training.
