Victoria Francés (born October 25, 1982 in Valencia ) is a Spanish artist who is active in both painting and literature .

Although she was born in Valencia, she spent part of her childhood in Galicia . Back in Valencia, she graduated from the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts with a degree in fine arts . The Spanish publisher Norma Editorial published their first Favole volume in 2004 .

Francé's predominant style, both her paintings, self-portraits and illustrations typical for her, as well as her literary works can be assigned to the Black Romanticism . Influences arise for her from horror literature and Pre-Raphaelism , frequently recurring motifs in her paintings are dark forests, ghosts, vampirism and desperate love, inspired by the writings of Edgar Allan Poe , Goethe , Anne Rice , Baudelaire and Bram Stoker . She showed herself to be more versatile with her Misty Circus works, which are not kept in their typical naturalism , but are clearly comic-like.
