The Villa Caroline is located in the Oberlößnitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul , at Emil-Högg-Straße 10.

The listed rental villa , including the enclosure, is a two-storey plastered building on a low plinth and with a jamb under a protruding hipped roof with a roof platform. The jamb is painted ornamentally.

In the symmetrical elevation of the facade of the main view, there are four similarly designed windows on each floor, framed by simple sandstone walls and with exterior window sills , these on the upper floor on consoles , on the upper floor with straight roofs , on the ground floor with arched roofs with decorations in baroque motifs. In addition cornices and plaster strips.

In the left, south-facing side view, there is a two-storey wooden veranda facing the street. The ground floor windows of this view are crowned by gable roofs with ornamentation. In the northern side view there is an entrance porch with a short flight of stairs to the entrance door, and an exit on top of the porch.

The fencing takes place as a lancet fence between concrete posts.

history

The building contractor Friedrich Adam II, who also built the two neighboring houses, submitted the building application with a design by the architect Carl Käfer in May 1898 as the builder, executor and site manager . After the building permit was granted in the following month, the building inspection took place in May 1899.

In 1900 a private hospital was established in the building.
