description

Villa Käthe, construction drawing 1905 of the renovation by Paul Ziller

The two-storey villa, which is now a listed building, is a plastered building with a cornice structure and a hipped roof . In the street view at the eaves, there is a roof structure in the center with a triangular gable, lateral volutes and coupled arched windows. Below is a massive veranda with an exit from the upper floor.

In the rear view is the entrance, there is also a two-storey utility wing with a gable roof.

The Landhaus Käthe is diagonally opposite (Zillerstraße 10).

history

In 1889 the Ziller brothers built a villa with a gable roof for KF Kaumann , most likely based on a design by the architect Carl Käfer . In 1904 the architect Paul Ziller rebuilt the building for the historian Woldemar Lippert in a slightly Baroque style, including a hipped roof.

In 1938 the structure of the building was simplified.
