history

Villa Vollmer, around 1910

The two-storey, plastered villa with a gable roof was built as a residential house from 1900 to 1901 according to plans by the building contractor Carl Vollmer for personal use.

The house is one of the few surviving buildings in Bremen that were designed in the style of Art Nouveau throughout. The remarkable property fence is also still well preserved. A varied and decorative facade design, the almost baroque gable and the three-story, octagonal, pagoda-like corner tower with its tiled tower roof and a curved French bell dome with lantern characterize the house.

Today (2014) the house is used for residential purposes and as a practice.
