Vilmoș Gheorghe (Hungarian spelling: Vilhelm György ; born February 3, 1941 in Tekerőpatak , Hungary , today Valea Strâmbă , Romania ; † 2002 ) was a Romanian biathlete .

Vilmoș Gheorghe started in his playing days for SC Dinamo Brașov. He took part in the Winter Olympics three times . In 1964 he started in Innsbruck in the individual, finished fifth and thus achieved his best international result. He benefited from a good running time with an eighth place in the running time as well as a good shooting performance with only two mistakes. Four years later in Grenoble , the Romanian finished 22nd in the individual and was also seventh as the final runner with Gheorghe Cimpoia , Constantin Carabela and Nicolae Bărbăşescu in the relay competition, which was held for the first time. Already at the Biathlon World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1966 , in the relay line-up that started two years later at the Olympic Games, he took part in the relay competition, which was held for the first time in the official competition and was fifth with the Romanian relay. 1972 followed in Sapporo a 32nd place in the individual and ninth place on the side of Nicolae Veştea , Victor Fontana and Ion Țeposu in the relay race. Gheorghe achieved his best results at the Biathlon World Championships at the Biathlon World Championships in 1965 in Elverum with an eighth place in the individual, and in 1971 in Hämeenlinna with seventh place in the same discipline.
