Vinessa Elizabeth Shaw (born July 19, 1976 in Los Angeles ) is an American actress and model .

Life

Vinessa Shaw, the daughter of actress Susan Damante-Shaw , made her debut in the 1981 horror film Bloodparty . She studied at Barnard College but did not graduate. For her role in the sports comedy Monty - Immer hart am Ball (1992) she was nominated for the Young Artist Award in 1993. She was nominated again for the award in 1994 for her acting performance alongside Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker in the fantasy comedy Hocus Pocus (1993). The following year she received a further nomination for the Young Artist Award for the role in the television series McKenna and for her guest appearance in the television series Murder is her Hobby (both in 1994).

Shaw took on a leading role in the adventure film Coyote Summer (1996). In Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut (1999) she played the prostitute dominoes . She played one of the bigger roles alongside Aaron Stanford and Kathleen Quinlan in the horror film The Hills Have Eyes (2006). In the war drama Badland (2007) she played the wife of a veteran ( Jamie Draven ), who shoots them with their children.

Vinessa Shaw also worked as a photo model . Her sister Natalie Shaw is also an actress.
