The Vivanco Group , based in Ahrensburg, is a provider of devices and connection accessories in Europe. The company develops, procures and supplies accessories from the consumer electronics , information technology and telecommunications segments .

history

Vivanco was founded in 1920 as a general partnership de Vivanco & Co. by Edgar and Gustavo de Vivanco in Hamburg ; initially for the import of Filipino products to Germany and the export of German products to the Philippines as well as the transit of hemp ropes to Switzerland and tobacco to the Netherlands , Belgium and Algeria .

In the 1970s, the import of electrical consumer goods and the distribution of products under the Vivanco brand through its own network of agents in Germany began, then in 1980 the entry into the accessories business for entertainment electronics.

In 1997 the name was changed to Vivanco Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft . In 1999, the company was first listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange . Today Vivanco Gruppe AG not only includes the headquarters in Ahrensburg near Hamburg, but also its own subsidiaries in Austria , Switzerland , Great Britain , the Netherlands, Poland , France , Spain and China . Vivanco sells its products through its own subsidiaries, a Germany-wide sales and worldwide distribution network.

On March 29, 2011, the Ship Group and its German subsidiary Xupu Electronics Technology GmbH, Ningbo / China, signed a purchase and transfer agreement with the previous majority shareholder of Vivanco Gruppe AG, LSF Irish Holdings III Limited, to take over 66.67 percent of Vivanco Gruppe AG shares signed.

The Ship Group has plants in China that manufacture electronic accessory products and is one of the largest suppliers in this segment with annual sales of over EUR 200 million. With many products, it has been an important supplier to Vivanco Gruppe AG for several years. Mr. Wenyang Zhang, CEO of Ningbo Ship Investment Group Ltd, Ningbo, People's Republic of China and Zhejiang Ship Electronics Technology Co., ltd, Zhejiang, People's Republic of China was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board on August 25, 2011 at the annual general meeting of Vivanco Gruppe AG.
