Vorarlberg regional center for the hearing impaired
The Vorarlberg Regional Center for Hearing Impaired (short LZH or Home for the deaf ) is an education and care facility for deaf and hard of hearing children in Dornbirn . In Vorarlberg it is the largest facility of its kind.
In addition to the school facilities, the LZH also has a large pedagogy department and a bowling alley with restaurants.

The complex consists of a kindergarten and seven secondary school levels . Students are people with disabilities from Vorarlberg , Liechtenstein , Switzerland and Germany .

Kindergarten and school
The curriculum at kindergarten and in school classes is based on that of general schools. The focus is on the acquisition of sounds by children and young people. There are currently seven classes , from first to seventh grade, each of which consists of four to five students.

The state center for the hearing impaired also employs teachers who look after students at higher education institutions. These teachers are known as integration teachers and help these students in almost every subject matter. The weekly volume of hours is between 2 and 3 hours per student. The Vorarlberger Land and the State Center for the Hearing Impaired will cover the costs.
