The 1961/62 season was the tenth regular season of the Western Hockey League (WHL). The champions became the Edmonton Flyers .

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

In the regular season the league was divided into two divisions (Northern and Southern). The top three teams in each division qualified for the playoffs, with the first-placed teams directly qualifying for the semifinals. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
