The Braunschweig-Süd constituency is an electoral district in Lower Saxony . It includes the Braunschweig districts of Broitzem , Heidberg-Melverode , Rüningen , Stöckheim-Leiferde , Südstadt-Rautheim-Mascherode , Timmerlah-Geitelde-Stiddien and Weststadt as well as the municipality of Vechelde, which is part of the Peine district .

The constituency was newly formed for the state election in Lower Saxony in 2008 . In the electoral division that was valid in 2003, there were the constituencies of Braunschweig-Nordost, Braunschweig-Südost, Braunschweig-Südwest and Braunschweig-Nordwest.
