Walter Boesch

Walter Bösch (born September 13, 1940 in Lustenau ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and former judge. Bösch was a member of the Austrian Federal Council sent by the Vorarlberg state parliament from 1974 to 1989 and a member of the state parliament from 1991 to 1994.

Walter Bösch was born on September 13, 1940 in Lustenau . After successfully completing compulsory schools, he completed an apprenticeship as a painter . From 1961 to 1966 he subsequently attended the workers' secondary school in Innsbruck and then began studying law at the University of Innsbruck . In 1970 he graduated with the promotion of Doctor of Laws (Dr. iur.) From 1971 and entered into the court service. In the same year Bösch became chairman of the SPÖ local organization in Lustenau. In 1974 Walter Bösch was appointed district judge. On November 4, 1974, the Vorarlberg state parliament sent him to Vienna for the first time as a member of the Austrian Federal Council, where he remained a parliamentarian until October 23, 1989. During this time he was a substitute member of the Austrian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in 1984 . In 1991 Bösch became a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament in its 25th legislative period, which lasted until 1994.

Walter Bösch is still a member of the Lustenau municipal council and has been chairman of the examination board since 2015.
