Walter Seipp

Walter Seipp (born December 13, 1925 in Langen near Frankfurt am Main; † February 4, 2015 ) was a German bank manager.

Career

After studying law, he started his first position at Deutsche Bank in 1961 , where he had been General Manager since 1970. In 1974 he moved to Westdeutsche Landesbank , where he was appointed to the board. His area of ​​responsibility there was international business. 1981 Seipp became CEO at Commerzbank . He stayed that way until 1991. From 1991 to 1999 he was on the Supervisory Board of Commerzbank. He was then appointed honorary chairman of the Commerzbank supervisory board.

Awards

The Great Cross of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany was awarded to him in July 1990.
