Wang Beixing ( Chinese  王 北 星 ; born March 10, 1985 in Harbin ) is a Chinese speed skater on the sprint courses.

Wang Beixing has been a speed skater since she was nine. In 2004 she was sent to Calgary with other teammates to study with the 1998 Olympic third party Kevin Crockett . But at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin , she only reached seventh place over 500 meters and a disappointing 29th place over 1000 meters. She is more successful in the Speed ​​Skating World Cup , where she has already won races. In the 2006/07 season she finished third in the final overall World Cup on the 500-meter course. At the beginning of the following season , zu won the 500 and 1000 meter races on the former Olympic track in Salt Lake City .

In the 2007/2008 season, Wang could not run as one of the favorites for the title of world champion in the sprint all-around because her skates were temporarily lost on the flight. At the individual distance championships in Nagano she took second place behind the German Jenny Wolf over 2 × 500 m .

In 2009, Wang won the gold medal over the 500 meters at the Sprint World Championships in Moscow . This is her only World Championship title so far besides numerous World Championship silver medals, all of which she achieved over the 500 meter individual distance.

Wang participated in the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver . She was able to win the bronze medal over the 500 meter course.

At the 2011 Individual Distance World Championships in Inzell , she came third over 500 meters. In Sochi , Wang won the silver medal over 500 meters at the 2013 Individual Distance World Championships . After the first run she was in fifth place, thanks to a strong second run she was able to push herself onto the podium and finished second behind an outstanding Lee Sang-hwa .
