World Wetlands Day

The World Wetlands Day is held annually since 1997 on February 2 committed, in memory of the Ramsar agreement (Convention on Wetlands, especially as a habitat for water and wading birds of international importance) , by the UNESCO was initiated. The day is designed to improve public awareness of the value and benefits of wetlands .
