The World Christmas Circus Stuttgart is the largest circus event in Germany. Since the winter of 1993/94 it has taken place every year at Christmas time on the Cannstatter Wasen . Over a period of around a month, around 60 performances are given in a large circus tent with around 2500 seats. A circus program with predominantly award-winning international artists and performances is shown. For example, dressage numbers from Circus Knie or the clowns David Larible and Bello Nock have already been seen several times . Peter Goesmann was the moderator from 1995 until his death in 2014. Björn Gehrmann from Oldenburg has been moderating the event since 2017.

In the 2018/19 season, an approximately one-hour program block was taken over by the Russian circus producer Gia Eradze . Characteristic for its numbers are elements from ballet, theater and musicals. In addition, no more demonstrations with wild animals have been shown; a corresponding ban has been in effect in Stuttgart since April 1, 2019.

The organizer is the Dutch company Stardust Circus International BV.
