Werner Adler (born December 31, 1946 in Bad Dürkheim ) is a former German football player .

Life

Werner Adler, born in 1946, began his career at ASV Maxdorf . From 1967 to 1970 he played for the then regional league club SV Alsenborn , which won the championship of the Regionalliga Südwest three times in a row during this time . After Adler moved to the first division club Borussia Mönchengladbach in 1970 , a year without commitment followed for him. He therefore had no active part in the German championship, which Borussia won in 1970/71 .

In the summer of 1971, Adler left Borussia again and moved to the southern regional division Karlsruher SC . After he came there only sporadically, he finally joined the second division SV Chio Waldhof in January 1973 , where he played until 1977 and played 81 league games. Then Adler ended his active career due to a hip damage.

Werner Adler later worked as a coach in amateur football and as a match observer for Waldhof Mannheim and Wormatia Worms .
