Werner Catrina

Werner Catrina (* 1943 in Chur ) is a Swiss journalist , author and publicist .

Life

Werner Catrina studied history, German and journalism at the University of Zurich after attending the Chur teachers' seminar and two years as a primary school teacher in Davos-Glaris; he graduated with a doctorate phil. I. For five years he worked as a journalist together with photographers at the Zurich press agency Comet. He then realized video shows at Vistasonor for a year. He has been a freelance journalist and author in Zurich since 1979. As a journalist, he wrote reports and, building on this, developed the genre of company stories. He has pre-authored books on business and sole proprietorship; also two novels .

For several years he was President of the Free Journalists Zurich (FBZ) and from 1995 to 1997 President of the Zurich Press Association (ZPV). Catrina was involved in journalistic bodies such as the Swiss Press Council .
