Wibbelstetz ( High German : Wobble tail , expression for a restless child ) is the name of an Eifel dialect music group that was founded in 1984 by the journalist Günter Hochgürtel. The band had their origins in the Euskirchen district , especially in Mechernich , where the majority of their fans can still be found today. In addition to their appearances in their home area, the band appeared in the current hour at WDR , at the German Heritage Festival 2003 in Kutztown / Pennsylvania and in Fougères in Brittany and Nyons . The band is legendary for their appearances at the Kakushöhle near Mechernich, where they have performed regularly since 1988.

The name comes from the local dialect in which many of their songs are written.

Band members are Günter Hochgürtel, Linus Krämer, Jürgen Schroeder, Michael Metzele, Georg Zwingmann
