Wiembeck is a district of the city of Lemgo in the Lippe district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

Wiembeck was first mentioned in writing as Wigenbeke in 1319 . On February 1, 1922, the new municipality of Wahmbeck was created by hiving off the municipality of Wiembeck. According to the Lemgo law , Wiembeck was incorporated into the district town of Lemgo on January 1, 1969. The Lemgo district was dissolved on January 1, 1973 and merged with the Detmold district to form the Lippe district.
